First Democratic Candidate for Governor to Receive 3,250 $5 Contributions
One of the democrats running for governor says they will be getting state money to help fund their campaign.
Senate president Libby Mitchell announced Tuesday morning that she has submitted more than the required amount of donations to qualify for clean elections funding. Mitchell is believed to be the first democratic candidate for governor to be able to qualify. Mitchell is the only woman in American history to serve as Speaker of the House and President of the Senate, and her candidacy has been endorsed by former president Bill Clinton.
